Cookie policy
Cookies on slotrave.casino – an overview for Australian readers
The site remembers just two small things in your browser: that you have acknowledged the cookie banner and whether you have collapsed the side menu. It does not use any analytics or advertising cookies.
What cookies and localStorage are
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser so that it can remember certain information, such as your settings. Your browser then sends it back to that website’s server with every request. Your browser’s local storage (localStorage) works in a similar way: small pieces of data stay on your device, but they are not sent to the server automatically.
The website slotrave.casino (the “site”) does not set conventional cookies – it makes do with two entries in localStorage. For simplicity, this policy refers to cookies and localStorage entries together as “cookies”.
Which rules apply
Australia has no specific law on cookies. Storing information on your device and reading it back falls under the general privacy rules – the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles – whenever personal information is involved. In practice, that means a site should be open about what it stores and why, and should collect only what it actually needs.
Both entries the site uses meet that standard: one remembers that you have acknowledged the cookie banner, and the other keeps the menu setting you chose yourself. Neither contains personal information, both are strictly necessary or set at your request, and the site uses no optional cookies – so there is nothing you need to consent to. How we handle personal information in general is described in our Privacy policy.
What the site stores
The site stores only these two entries of its own – it leaves nothing else in your browser:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| nv-cookie | Strictly necessary | Remembers that you acknowledged the cookie banner by clicking “Got it”, so it isn’t shown to you again. | Until you clear the site’s data in your browser |
| nv-mini | Strictly necessary (user preference) | Remembers whether you collapsed the side menu on a computer, so it stays the same on other pages. | Until you clear the site’s data in your browser |
The “nv-mini” entry is only saved when you collapse or expand the side menu yourself. Both entries contain just a short value (such as “ok” or “1”) without any personal information, and they are never sent to our server.
The site does not use analytics, advertising or any other tracking cookies, and it does not track you across websites. It loads fonts, images and scripts from its own server, so no external content providers set cookies on its pages either.
The cookie banner
On your first visit, a banner with a link to this policy appears at the bottom of the screen. Because the site uses nothing that would require your consent, the banner is mainly there for information. When you click “Got it”, it disappears and the site records in the “nv-cookie” entry that you have acknowledged it. If you clear the site’s data in your browser, the banner will appear again on your next visit.
How to delete or block the entries
You can view or delete the data the site has stored at any time, and you can also block it in your browser. Entries in localStorage are deleted together with cookies and other site data. Here’s where to find the settings in the most popular browsers (menu names may vary slightly between versions):
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings → View permissions and data stored across sites;
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
- Safari on Mac: Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data;
- Safari on iPhone and iPad: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data;
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
In a private (incognito) browser window, site data is deleted automatically when you close the window. If you delete or block the entries, the site will keep working – you’ll just see the cookie banner again, and the side menu will be expanded again.
The casino and other third-party websites
We do not share the data in our entries with anyone. However, as soon as you click a link to the Slotrave casino or another external website, you leave slotrave.casino. Links to the casino are affiliate links: they may pass through a redirect server that lets the casino know you came from us. The casino and other websites set their own cookies under their own policies, which we cannot influence – so please read those policies on their websites.
Questions and complaints
If anything about the way the site handles cookies doesn’t seem right to you, please write to us first at support@slotrave.com – we’ll be happy to explain or put things right. If we can’t resolve it, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), Australia’s privacy regulator.
Updates to this policy
We will update this policy if the law, the OAIC’s guidance or the site’s technical set-up changes. If we ever start storing anything new, we will first update this page and the cookie banner, and we will ask for your consent in advance for anything that is not strictly necessary. The current version is always available here, with the date of the last update at the top of the page.
